100g dark brown soft sugar
1 medium egg, lightly beaten

Icing sugar, for dusting

In a large mixing bowl beat together the butter and sugar with an electric whik, until light
and creamy. Add the egg, honey, flour and spices.

Mix well to form a dough, wrap in cling film and chill in the fridge for
at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 190oC, gas mark 5 and line two baking tray's with greaseproof paper. Unwrap
the dough and place between to clean sheets of cling film.

Roll out to about 1/2 cm and then pick what cutter's you want to use I chose stars, men
and Christmas tree's as that was all I had.

Then place them all on a baking tray and cook for 10-12 minutes (depending on how you
like them), then take them out and leave on a cooling rack.

Once cool sprinkle with icing sugar and they are ready to eat. They last around a week

Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Review

I was looking for a new face mask the other day and I came across this one as it was on offer for 2 for £5 RRP £4.99, which was such a bargain I couldn't resist it. It claims to be a wash, a scrub and a mask, I intend to use it as only a clay mask though.

When I apply it as a mask you can feel the bits in it which is the part that exfoliates and it says to only leave it on for 3 minutes which is really handy if your in a rush and need something quick, but I like to leave it on for about 10 minutes when it has hardened completely. When I go to wash it of I rub it in circular it exfoliates my skin at the same which I really like.

Once I had taken it off my skin felt really smooth and matte which is what it says it will do and I honestly think this face mask has done what a face mask should do it left my skin feeling really clean and it did clear up some of my blemishes. It also has salicylic acid in it which is definatley a bonus if you have acne prone skin.

I would only recommend this for someone with oily to combination skin as otherwise I would think this would dry out your skin. However, over all I think this is a really nice product and would definatley like to try more from the Garnier Pure range.

Aztec Cookies Recipe

Today I have my second recipe I bake quiet a look but always forget to take pictures to do a blog post on it. I got the recipe from The Great British Bake Off 2012 book and have made a few things and have loved all of them. The cookies are essentially chocolate coffee flavored with white chocolate but they aren't too rich. I have adapted the recipe slightly too how I did it.

Ingredients- (Makes 18)
140g espresso flavoured dark chocalate (70%), broken into squares- I used green & blacks
65g unsalted butter, diced
2 large eggs, room temperature
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
130g caster sugar
185g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
100g white chocolate- I used green & blacks

2 baking sheets lined with baking paper

1) Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in a glass bowl on top of a saucepan of simmering water (not boiling). Once it is all combined and melted remove from the heat and leave to cool for 5-10 minutes.

2)Meanwhile, put the eggs, vanilla, salt and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Then use a hand or electric whisk to mix the ingredients together. Then add the melted chocolate and stir it in by hand.

3) Stir the flour and baking powder into the mixture using a wooden spoon. Roughly chop up the white chocolate and stir in. Leave the mixture to stand for 15 minutes for it to thicken ( this step is essential). While the mixture is standing put the oven on to 160oC/325oF/gas 3.

4) Using a heaped tablespoon each time scoop the mixture onto a baking tray, until you have 18 even lumps. Don't flatten them as they will be too flat. Make sure you spread them out as they will spread in the over. Bake for 15 minutes and then take them out leave on the tray for 5 minutes as they will continue to bake on the tray for a few minutes out of the oven. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely , story in an air tight tin and eat with in a week.

Tea Tree Cleansing Pads Review

I used to use face wipes every other night to take of my make up but so many people have told me how bad they are for your skin but I just found them really easy to use. So I found these cleansing pads as an alternative from superdrug for £3, for 40 pads which I think is really good value. I use them every night and use it to get of any make-up left on and you can use it on your eyes to get of light make up but I tend to use an eye make up remover too.

I also use tea tree oil for blemishes and find it works really well and have always come back to using tea tree products over any other products with lots of chemicals. They also have peppermint oils in and they smell really nice, very strong of tea tree though so if you don't like the smell of tea tree you probably won't like these. They wipes also stay really moist and don't dry out because they have a screw on lid and are in a plastic pot instead of most wipes which dry out because they don't stay sealed.

There are paraben free which makes it a lot better for your skin. I think these are best for teenage girls or anyone who is prone to acne or has oily to combination skin as if you have dry skin they may dry your skin out even more. I really want to try more from the superdrug own range because I have used several products from them and haven't had an issue with any of them.

Tresemmé Smooth Serum Review

I picked this up as my leave in conditioner had ran out so I saw this one on offer and was in a bit of a rush so just picked it up and I'm so glad I did. I got it from superdrug for £3.32 and it is still on offer but its original price is £4.99 which is still quiet reasonable. It says you can use it on wet or dry hair and will smooth frizz and fly aways  it also has argon oil, which is really good for your hair.

I use it after I wash my hair which I do every other day on towel dry hair and then I use it every other morning the day that I am not going to wash my hair. I find when I use it on dry hair at first it looks slightly oily but after a couple of minutes it just leaves the ends really smooth. I use one pump on each side of my hair and mostly concentrate it on the ends and any that I have left over on my hands I use through the rest of my hair, but I don't use it on the roots.

It smells really nice and leaves the ends of my hair feeling incredibly smooth, it claims to help split ends but I have only been using it a week or two but I haven't seen any split ends. It comes in a small plastic bottle which is really handy for travel and has a pump which makes it a lot easier so you get the perfect amount and don't end up wasting any.

Soap and Glory Righteous Body Butter Review

I have decided to start writing a review a week as I really enjoy reviewing products as you can go into more detail. I am going to try and review as many soap and glory products as I can as I love them so much.So I decided to review this body butter that I have had for quiet a while and love it so much that I save it for special occasions as it is £ 10 which is quiet pricey for a drugstore body butter but it is definatley worth it.

I love the scent it is the typical soap and glory scent that lingers on your body until the next time you have a shower. It is really nice to apply in the summer if your wearing a dress as then you won't need to wear a perfume. I especially like wearing it after I have shaved my legs as it leaves them very dry and this adds all of the moisture back into it instantly. It is super thick so you have to  apply it in the evening or when you can just relax and don't need to get dressed straight away.

I find it very similar to the hand food which I used to use but now I use a different one or just the body butter as there's not much point having both. I normally use this after I have washed with the body wash and used one of the scrubs from soap and glory to really get the most out of the gorgeous scent and to really pamper myself.

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer Review

This Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer quiet an old product and everyone used to talk about this on blogs on youtube years ago and I finally decided to buy it a couple of weeks ago. I have oily to combination skin and I always found no matter how much powder I used my foundation would come of by the end of the day. I'd tried some cheap primers before but they didn't really do anything for me. This Rimmel primer is available from most drugstores and I picked mine up from boots on 3 for 2 for only £6.99.

I really like how this primer acts as a barrier for your skin, some foundations make me breakout but they also have a really nice coverage and I like the foundation. I find when I use a primer I can use any foundation and it won't make me breakout or give me rash.

On the bottle it says it smoothes, resurfaces, mattifies and protects and for me I find it pretty much does all of them. The only one I'd say it could do better is mattify I find it doesn't really do this and under the primer I do tend to use one of my mattifying lotions underneath which work a lot better to mattify.

When you apply it, it feels really velvety and quiet luxurious when you rub it into your skin it blends out completely as it is a white lotion. It also sinks in very quickly so you don't have to wait around for it to set in before applying foundation. It also doesn't feel like you have it on which I like. I use mine with a moisturiser some people say not to but I haven't had a problem with it. I like how the packaging is nothing fancy just an easy to use tube.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review

I bought the Nearly Naked Foundation a couple of weeks ago from boots for £8.99 while it was on 3 for 2, I wanted to wait a couple of weeks until I reviewed it as my skin has been very weird at the moment. But, I think its finally back to normal so I am going to review it. It was advertised as a light coverage foundation which caught my eye as I normally wear a light coverage foundation or BB cream for school.

When you apply it, its quiet liquid-y so you don't need a lot as it blends out really well, I find it easier to apply it with my hands as its such a light coverage and apply it in layer instead of a massive amount all at once. It isn't very buildable but you can get it from a light to medium coverage after an extra layer. But, if you want a fall coverage foundation then I wouldn't recommend this for you.

I really like how light the coverage this is it just blurs redness and feels very light on your face and doesn't go cakey during the day. It normally lasts about 8 hours on my skin and I have oily to combination skin so it may last slightly longer if you have normal to dry skin. Also, I find if you powder once or twice during the day  pr use a primer it will last a lot longer.

I don't like that this foundation, like other Revlon foundations, don't have a pump and just pour out, as I always find I either pour out too much and it gets wasted or not enough. But it is in a nice 30ml glass bottle and is quiet small and compact so would be good for travel.

The shade range is really good for a drugstore I got mine in 130 shell which is the second lightest and matches my complexion perfectly, I often struggle if they don't have enough shade as I'm not super pale. They also have a powder in the range which I really want to try and I think they should have a concealer too.

MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Pallet Review

I purchased this pallet a few months ago and have used it so much since then! You can get it from here or in superdrug for only £4 and its often on offer. This pallet was supposed to be a dupe for the naked pallet, which costs a lot more. I don't have the naked pallet and couldn't justify spending that much.

I really love the colours in the pallet you get 12 shadows, 10 shimmer and 2 matt. I have dark blond hair and use a mix of both matt shades for my eyebrows. I think it would suit blond or brown hair girls. They last quiet well but if you want them to last all day you would need a primer underneath, especially if you have oily eyelids.

I love all the colours as you get beige's, brown's and black's. So you can easily change a look from day to night. This is the perfect travel pallet its slim and compact and has ever colour you need. Its also great if your on a budget. Its also really easy to create a simple day time look with the lighter colours or using some of the warmer browns.
I'm sorry I've been doing lots of reviews recently i just have a lot I want to review. Please leaves any suggestions in the comments.

Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher Book Review

I read Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher a couple of weeks ago and once I started reading it I could not put it down! It is an excellent book for teenage girls or boys if you enjoy the romance type but with more of an element of surprise, it is also in the form of a series of letters. I purchased mine from amazon for £6.49 and you can get it from other places for a similar price. I found this book one day when I was watching a you tube video it came up at the beginning and it grabbed my attention straight away and the more I researched and read reviews the more I wanted it so I ordered it.Warning there may be some spoilers.

The main character in this is called Alice Jones and she is the one who killed her boyfriends, but not deliberately by accident. Alice writes her story to a prisoner in America of how she came to killing someone, she changes her name and address so he won't find out who she really is. Un-til the last letter when she told him what she did however the last letter was sent after hew was supposed to be killed, as he was in jail fore murder and the punishment was death. So she'll new know if he really got the letter. Alice has two younger sister one of them is deaf and she has a over protective Mum who won't let her do her own thing and her Dad is out of work. Her Granddad who she hasn't seen in years is ill and her parents seem to be fighting all the time she needed to get out of the house. She ends up going out with this boy and ends up meeting another boy she likes more and they turn out to be brothers. She starts seeing her boyfriends brother behind his back and  this is how they end up fight and her boyfriend gets killed. Alice and her boyfriends brother were the only ones that were there and know what happened. His Mum is constantly trying to get her to go to his grave, or his death place but she just wants space.

Hope you enjoyed my review and let me know if you want me to review any other books!
